I have nothing but great things to say about Valley Spanish School! I stumbled upon this gem because I was taking dance lessons in the adjacent room (bonus!) and would grab a delicious coffee in the cafe before and/or after my class (shoutout to the amazing baristas, Tomas and Aleja, who always knew my order!).

In addition to Spanish classes, the school offers a free language exchange on Tuesday and Thursday nights which was a fun way to meet people and improve on your conversational Spanish. It doesn't stop there though, they were also a great resource for learning more about Medellin/Colombia and went out of their way to provide recommendations for activities to do around the city, set up opportunities for group trips, and lunch outings.

I would give 100 stars if I could. Took language classes here for three weeks, was super easy to sign up, my teacher (Matteo) was FANTASTIC, very knowledgeable, kind, patient, an excellent instructor (and from talking to other students it sounds like all the instructors are also awesome).
More than just a school, Valley Spanish School also became my home base during my time in Medellin. I went on a tour arranged through them, and every day they have really high quality events that you can pop in for.
Also great coffee. Like, better than any coffee in the small American city where I live good. Again, can't recommend this place enough, if you're reading this you're obviously considering taking some classes or taking a dance class, DO IT! THEY'RE SO GREAT!

All of my teachers, including Kevin, Tatiana, and Juan Diego, were incredibly encouraging and supportive, and I felt that they pushed me to speak Spanish as much as possible, which was great. I appreciated that classes were structured so that I could make clear progress, but also that there was enough flexibility for me to ask questions and explore additional grammatical concepts.
