Terms and Conditions
Online classes:
Online classes must be booked with a minimum of 5 hours which must be used in one week. Class changes must be advised with a minimum of 24 hours notice, otherwise the class will be forfeited. We have also group classes available online, please notice that no more than 4 people can participate in this lessons.
Face to face classes
Group Classes: Group classes run 5 days per week, Monday thru Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, when there is a public holiday on Monday. Group classes start at 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. When there is a public holiday, we start classes at 8:30 am. until 1:30 pm. After the first two hours you will have a break of 15 mins.
After Monday’s lesson has ended, students will be allowed to join a group only if they receive the class content and study it for Tuesday’s session. After Tuesday no student will be allowed to join a group.
We advice to take private lessons instead if you want to enter the school on Tuesday. Payment for the following weeks class must be received by Friday 2pm. Late payment incurs on a fee of 50.000 COP. Remember to obtain your discount when buying more than 4 weeks in advance.
Private Group Classes: 2-3 students it’s the perfect setting for fast learning. You need to be on the same or similar level as your friend(s) in order to be able to take this lesson. Cheaper lessons than private ones but with its great benefits.
Private Classes: Private classes are scheduled mostly in the afternoon, but when there are classrooms available in the morning we can make an exception. Although we can arrange your classes in the morning for a certain week, we cannot guarantee this will always happen.
Class Size
The minimum group class size is two students and the maximum is seven. Class sizes change from week to week. One week you may have 7 students in your class, the next you might only have 2. The average is usually 3-4 students. If you feel that you will make the most out of your lessons in a smaller setting, you can always invite one of your classmates to join you in a closed group.
Teachers & levels
We know from experience that sometimes students want to continue having lessons with the same teachers the whole time they are in Valley Spanish. Sometimes it’s possible to arrange the same teacher in your class but it might not be always possible. If you get another teacher for your class there is always a bright side to it. There will be a different accent, a different strategy, but you will always get the same great quality that characterises the Valley Spanish approach.
If for some reason you feel like you are in a different level or your teacher advices you to move up or down one level, don’t feel discourage, we will open a place for you in another classroom. If there is no place in another classroom your credit can be used for private lessons.
Do I need notebook, or any other material for classes?
As part of our philosophy we are transitioning from printed material to digital. We will provide you a notebook, but any printed material will be available for you online.
Pricing, Payments, Discounts & Fees
Every lesson is booked in payment order, so if your class has a maximum of 7 students please be sure to make you payment on Thursday to secure your place in next week’s class.
We encourage students to register early and pay in advance to guarantee their classes and avoid price rises.
Refunds
We understand that difficulties might appear when you book your lessons with enough anticipation, but as a business we incur in costs the must be covered with your payments. In order to be clear with our students we have created a table to illustrate how much money we are able to refund you when you cannot make it to class.

Once you make your payment you will be able to use your credit for six months, regardless of the increase of price lessons, your price will remain the same.
Payment methods: Payulatam, Paypal, Credit card (no fee charged), cash (Colombian Pesos). Remember to advise your bank that you are traveling to Colombia or making an international payment before you pay online or at the school, otherwise, you might not be able to pay for your classes on time.
